Working theory

The 1470nm wavelength has a high degree of water absorption in the tissue,and 980 nm provides high absorption in hemoglobin.
The irreversible photo-thermal process induced by the laser energy results in a complete occlusion of the treated vein. The lower energy level needed using the radial laser fiber significantly minimized adverse effects compared with the bare laser fiber.

It's intended mainly to remove body fat that's difficult to lose through diet or exercise, such as: fat deposits on the upper outer thighs, belly fat around the torso and double chins.

 

Advantage

With laser lipolysis , fat cells are liquefied using a very precise laser beam. The energy of the diode laser is converted into heat and this gently dissolves the fat tissue. The capillaries supplying blood and the surrounding connective tissue are also heated during the process. This heating results in immediate hemostasis and, via the regeneration of collagen fibers, leads to a visible tightening of the subcutaneous connective tissue and skin.
A wavelength of 1470nm produces the optimum conditions for efficient vaporization of the fat tissue and for tightening the overlying connective tissue. Coagulation of the blood vessels, on the other hand, is achieved by using a complementary wavelength of 980 nm.

Laser lipolysis is a procedure in which localized fat deposits are reduced surgically by means of a special laser housed inside a tiny tube called a cannula. Unlike traditional liposuction, laser lipolysis does not use suction. This procedure offers benefits on par with traditional liposuction, although it is generally recommended for smaller areas.

Laser lipolysis has many advantages over traditional liposuction. First, it is gentler and safer, partly due to the much smaller cannulas. Finally, because of the heat generated by this method, there is another very important benefit: The body's own healing response causes tissues to contract, leaving skin tighter and smoother in the treated area. This is good news indeed, since the traditional liposuction method of merely "sucking out the fat" can sometimes leave patients with uneven contours and loose, sagging skin.
